"You learn a little more each day..." Isn't that what beloved Barney tells the children? Ha! I always enjoy visiting with the elderly folks. They have so many stories to tell and such sage advice to give. There is SO much to learn from all their years of experience!
Today I had the chance to take the children to visit their great-grandma who had just turned 80years old. She has been through so much and came through a very strong woman. I watched as she sat there observing her granddaughters interacting with their children and wondered at the words of advice she could have shared. But she didn't. She had learned that sometimes there is wisdom in silence. Amazingly in that very silence she was passing on advice!
So often we may feel like we're living life without much effect on those around us. But we affect people every day. In ways we have no idea of. Is it an encouraging or a discouraging way??
