The trees are beautiful! My favorite thing about this time of the year is how nature's colors blend so wonderfully! Its also time to get out that rake and start making those fun leave piles that are so much fun to jump into. Last weekend we had the fun of going on adventures at the Pumpkin Patch. Theres just so many fun things to do during this wonderful season of the year.
To celebrate two of my closest friends birthday I decided to go with a fall theme. Making this cake very versatile for family gatherings and any fall special occasion!

So simple. And yet so special!
I used two bowls to bake 1/2 of the cake mix in each. After they cooled I put some cream cheese frosting on top of the one and turned the other on top of it. Making my pumpkin shape. Next I turned a cupcake upside down for the stem. Then I frosted the entire cake. I used my rolling pin to flatten gumdrop candies and cut out the leaf shapes and the curling vine. Lastly I sprinkled brown sugar around the cake to represent the ground with chocolate chips for acorns.
I wrapped it very carefully and carted it off to surprise my friends who had already met for our ladies day.
Happy fall ya'll:)
