We waited. And waited. And waited! Why did time drag so slow?! Almost as if it enjoyed keeping us in suspense. Would the day ever come?! Excitement built.
And then............ IT WAS THE DAY...........to find out the gender of our precious baby. We wavered between the emotion of fear and delight all morning. And noon found us walking through the hospital doors for the ultra sound. We held our breath. And waited. The nurse turned to us and we held our breath.
And waited. ITS A GIRL she said. And the wait was over. We looked at each other. And then we simply couldn't help it. We cried. Tears of pure JOY! Our prayers had been answered! Our family was perfect. With the little boy waiting at home and a tiny pink bundle on the way! How could we not cry those tears of happiness and joy!
And then the fun began. My crafty side came out in full force shocking everyone. Even myself. At all the ideas that just seemed to flow out of my fingertips! And the energy I had to try so many different new projects. The challenge seemed to drive me. And pink slowly started taking over our house!
I waited as long as I could before tackling a bigger project of a bassinet cover. I had made a beautiful lacy white with blue trim for our son several years before. But this time I had bigger ideas with more options of lace and frills. So I designed. And cut. And stitched. And fitted. Until I slowly started seeing my dream come true. It was feminine. It was beautiful. It was perfection! And.....now we were all ready for another dream to come true.
